2015 In Pictures

Wow. What a crazy ride 2015 has been!
Here are some of the highlights:

Monica Byrne Studio officially went live

What a delight for me to get this project up and running. It's both a wonderful feeling and opportunity to meet the needs of my clients without all of the baggage of a big salon – so much more peaceful.

Monica Byrne Studio launched in the Spring of 2015.

Modern Salon, Estetica and Beauty Launchpad

And to my surprise, Modern Salon asked me to write a tutorial article about a current color trend. Three magazines picked up the article. What a crazy feeling to know that my work is way more than just relevant.

2015 ABCH Energizing Summit

I joined the American Board Cerified Haircolorists (ABCH) education team in Los Angeles again this year for the 8th time in 10 years. As an ABCH educator, I share my vast knowledge of innovative and (sometimes) resurrected techniques with industry professionals to help them achieve fabulous results with the latest hair trends. Totally honored.

Vacation and more articles

My family took some time to vacation in North Carolina again this September. And while I sat seaside, I wrote another article for Modern Salon and gave an interview sharing my path from industry newbie to seasoned vet - all to inspire new cosmetologists.

2015 Northeast Educational Conference

With the turning of the leaves came another national conference, the Northeast Educational Conference (NEEC) and more time to spend with clients. NEEC is a much smaller version of ABCH-style generic education (although not affiliated with ABCH). Both ABCH and NEEC feature true education without the drive to sell anything. No brands, no manufacturers - which, sets them apart from other education in the industry.
